Description:
I've decided to part ways with my beautiful C126 euro model. I've owned it a little over 2 years and have done quite a bit of maintenance on it under my ownership. The car has always been well cared for and it shows. Delivered originally in Japan, it made its way to Canada before being acquired by myself and brought into the US and legally registered in the states (vehicle is outfitted with catalytic converters). The pictures speak for themselves, and the original paint is in excellent condition (paint code 199). I have the original set of wheels, but currently sitting on 17" OZ replica wheels and BF Goodrich tires which are roughly 2 years old. This is a fantastic German cruiser with plenty of power, and the pillar-less design is classic Mercedes luxury. Enthusiast owned and always garaged. Vehicle is located in Southern California
Maintenance items done under my ownership:
- Recent oil change ~300 miles ago (Brad Penn 20w 50)
- New distributor wires
- Rebuilt front suspension including:
H&R springs all around
new front Bilstein shocks
new ball joints and control arm bushings
new front pads and rotors
re-packed front wheel bearings
full brake bleed
replaced steering dampening shock
proper alignment done after front end rebuild
- Rebuilt rear SLS suspension including:
new SLS shocks
new accumulators
hydraulic fluid flush and replaced with Genuine Mercedes hydraulic fluid from dealership
upgraded Dkubus performance anti-rollbar and poly bushing kit https://dkubus.com/?product=w126-ant...d-mounting-set
Items that could use attention:
- The AC/heater runs but needs to be charged
- The rear sunshade operates, but gets stuck
- The driver's side seatbelt presenter arm was broken by the transport carrier when shipped to me. It functions properly but will likely need a new arm (the motor functions as it should)
I do have a few questions for ya. I guess the most important one is, can this be registered in CA? Judging by your plates, I see you haven't yet since it was imported. Curious why and if it's still possible! Thanks.
