This is the only oem wheel that was available on the W215 CL65. It was exclusive to that model in a rear offset of et60 and has a darker painted center. If you are seeing anything else, it is NOT a W215 CL65 wheel that came stock on that specific model vehicle. The W216 CL65 had the et44 offset, but it does not look like the wheel above. I know because I was considering all sorts of oem wheels, as the stock W215 CL65 shown above is not my favorite.
So, with that said, in response to your email, the 2006 CL55 may have used the "same " double spoke 19" wheel (two pieces with bolts on exterior rims, whereas the 2005 was a one piece), but the center is the same color tone as the rim and the rear offset is NOT the same as the CL65. The pic in your FIRST post in this thread is the stock CL55 two piece wheel, with different rear wheel offsets (et46). As noted before, the pic above is the ONLY stock wheel on the W215 CL65 (2005 or 2006) and it DOES NOT have the same rear offset as the CL55 wheel. Mercedes DOES NOT use spacers from the factory. Again, if you are seeing CL65 wheels that do not look like the above wheel, they are W216 (2007 and later) CL65 wheels.
It seems like your last sentence is on the mark, however, the center paint on the CL55 is the same as the rim, and is as shown in your first post in this thread. Now, it is also possible that someone took a CL55 wheel and had it painted to match the CL65's darker center, so if you see a wheel that looks like the above but has a et46 offset, maybe that would explain it. But otherwise, what I am saying is straight up truth. I also believe that the wheels shown in your first post were options on the 2006 CL55, whereas the 2005-06 CL65 had only one wheel available. Again, shown above.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
My 2006 CL65, right before I bought it. Now in the shop getting custom work done (doing black headliner, calipers powder coated bronze and changing burl walnut color to anthracite, among other things). I will also be changing wheels, and am leaning to the Hollander 65502 oem wheels. Yeah, rear offsets are gonna be an issue. Will be test fitting soon. Wish it was white.

Stick with white. When it's done right, one of the best looking colors on the W215 IMHO. The pic in your first post supports my opinion. Also one of the rarest, for the AMG versions. Black AMG W215's are most common. The unicorn is white exterior/black interior. Only seen one CL55 like that, and man, it was a looker.

Thanks —

Kind of odd to refer to the wheel by the interchange number.
The OEM numbers for the wheels you mentioned:
A2214000302 A2214000402
I have a set for sale, https://mbworld.org/forums/market/779032
