1995 Mercedes Benz E320 Wagon $7000, ex California car with tons of maintenance in the last 2 years. Price is negotiable however low mileage examples like this on go for between $7,000 - $12,000, plus buyers premium on Bring a Trailer.
This has been my daily driver for the last 2 years and I would not hesitate to drive it across the country. I purchased it with 106,000 miles on it in 2019 from a dealer in San Diego California and since brought it back up to daily driving condition. The car currently is garaged in Salt Lake City Utah, fly in drive home. I understand I will never get my full investment out of this car however I feel this is one of the best mechanically sorted ones you will find. It does not leak at all, the A/C is cold and you can get in and drive it without worry.
I will fully admit the paint is not perfect on this car 6.5/10. It does have its share of door dings, scratches and Mercedes of these years do tend to develop clear coat failure which this one does have. With it being an ex California car it has zero rust which is a MAJOR leg up on other cars. This generation of Mercedes was known to rust in the jack points and in the wheel wells. This car has non of that.
Interior is a 7/10. This car does have some common interior faults. The center console's wood clear coat is starting to crack, and the driver side seat is showing a bit of wear. The center console armrest also is worn.
Mechanically this car is a 9/10. Here is a list of repairs and services I have done in the past 2 years. It also has zero leak. This car is equipped with the M104 engine which had a few known faults that have been taken care of by me.
The head gasket, biodegradable engine wiring and vacuum hoses have been replaced along the extensive other repairs and services outlined below.
