You’ll need this adapter below.
Brembo 20.97A7.72 (or 20.9747.72) It’s the same part for the SL R231. BTW they are 390mm rotors.
As far as I can tell, it can’t be ordered separately though. I rarely see them for sale in the used market

Thanks for the helpful info .... glad you understand these brakes so well. I think you're right that my front rotors are 390s. The rears are 360, I believe. Anyway, I've seen these brackets on AMG calipers people had on EBay and recognize them. Good to know they mate up to the standard S550 steering knuckle and not some special AMG version. Other than fitting on to the knuckle and assuming centered over the rotor, the only other question would be how wide my rotor is vs. the AMG rotor.

As you said, an adapter by itself is not easy to find, here's the closest thing I found and seller says out of stock and not available ... https://www.killerbrakes.com/product...s65-420mm-new/

I did the AMG B06 big brake conversion on my car, the calipers are are off an s63. They are identical to the SL R231 version. (see pic)

It depends, but if your fronts are 4 piston, I believe they would be 360mm rotors (or 370m) you would need to replace the rotors. Likewise the rears would probably be the smaller 340x24mm rotors too.
I would verify what you have for sure.

That is correct. They will bolt up as long as you have the correct rotor.

They are both 36mm but the rears may be thicker 24mm vs 26mm

They are VERY difficult to find on their own. I found the calipers with adapters long before I was able to locate just the adapters seperately. I looked in Europe as well as US.

B06 AMG Brakes and 471 AMG LSD installed!

Beautiful, looks like you did two-piece front rotors as well. That's what I have on my 928 GTS, using custom-made aluminum hats from an outfit called Lindsay Racing. A good Brembo set up is amazingly better braking solution than anything else.

By any chance did you do a post on here documenting your brake upgrade?

I haven’t had a chance to make a cohesive, organized post, I was actually going to add to this excellent post:
https://mbworld.org/forums/sl-class-...550-guide.html

Much of this is the same from r231 and w222 as they share the same brake system. It mostly focuses on CCB’s vs Steel Rotor B06, but a good reference none the less…
