Description:
looking for a 2015 and up S550 4matic , or S63
must be fully loaded with every option,no dead switches by the headlight controls. Worse case
the one exception I can live without is night vision. But I would need the lane assist,360 camera ,distronic etc etc
3d speaker upgrade would be nice as well
i prefer black exterior but the most important factor to me is a all black interior
maintenance records would be nice /no accidents and clean car fax
Personal owner and not dealer please
thanks mbworld
I’m in ct and Florida most of the year so I don’t mind traveling to find the right car

Just giving a little on my car background
and I just signed up on mb so I’m a noobie here
Didn’t want you guys thinking I’m a scammer etc
If I don’t buy this next car through the dealer
who do you guys use/recommend for warranty
kinda sucks not having my garage and driveway
I’m hoping the warranty will let me sleep at night lmao

"Fully loaded" is too generic for the W222. You should know what packages / options you want. Do you need rear picnic tables? A champagne fridge? An HUD? Burmeister 3D audio (which takes away trunk space)? A leather dash which usually shrinks and has to be replaced every few years?
I'd recommend looking at an old brochure from 2015-2016 to figure out what you want. Lots of the "luxury options" come at a steep price (size, usability, maintenance costs).

Thanks , good point
i was basing it on the the buttons near the headlight switch
i wanted no dead switches , hud night vision lane assist distronic etc are all a must
I wasnt even thinking about the other packages
upgraded burmeister would be nice and rear executive for stretching out on long trips in rest areas lol
nothing else is necessary

And there easy to find online car sale sites but I don’t trust them lol
Definitely want to buy from a private owner so we can discuss what and what hasn’t been done for maintenance etc
and speaking of, what is known to fail on the s550 ,s63 assuming with normal proper care.
turbos? Pcv system? Suspension?
thanks

I've never heard the Burmeister 3D system but most owners rave about it... if you can find it, go for it. Again, that's an option more often found on the V12 or AMG versions. Rear executive means 2 seats in the back instead of 3, if that matters to you.
If you're buying a one-owner car, you can be pretty sure that maintenance was done properly regardless of where you buy it from. A $2-3k service is not much for someone who buys a $100k+ car new. It's when second and third owners get involved that maintenance is often overlooked / "cheaped out". You probably already know this with your background!
Air suspension will fail with time... this is a given for ANY car with an air suspension. Failure isn't common on the W222 yet so we can say they last at least 6-7 years... my guess is 10 years / 100k miles (about what most W211 are seeing).
Turbos leak oil eventually, as they all do, but that is usually very high mileage. VCGs also leak, many as low as 50-60k miles.
Good luck with the search!! If you really wanted a loaded up car, I'd strongly recommend you look into an S600. Only real downside is that you can't have 4Matic.

Appreciate all the input
i was impressed with my buddies s65 and s63.
while I loved my a7 , it’s really hard to find one with massaging seats
that’s what made me start looking in the first place.
how loaded up his car was
the Audi A8/s8 will have massaging seats but the dash does not look that good to me
i haven’t driven an s class yet but plan on it soon and hoping all the hype makes it worth while

Glad I can help!
Too many cylinders? Is there such a thing??
In all seriousness an S63 may be your best bet then. Keep in mind the S63 brakes are prohibitively expensive (even just the parts are around $3-4k for genuine MB) and will ride harder than an S550. Otherwise there isn't much difference.

This. If you can wait for a Burmeister 3D system, it is well worth it. I have it in my '15 S550 4-MATIC and although it did take me several months to find the perfect-spec S550, I wouldn't have it any other way.

The two a7’s I had took over a year of hunting for fully loaded
one had the bang & olufsen upgrade and the other had bose
was a big upgrade and worth getting
so Im patient for the right car
v12 is overkill lol
isn’t the 8cylinder faster as well?
