Consumer Sentiment declines to start June.
The initial June reading on Consumer Sentiment from the University of Michigan declined 14% to 50.2, which was a new record low for the index.
Consumers’ views of current conditions and future expectations both declined substantially, and the expected inflation rate increased to the highest level since 2008.
Consumers’ views of buying conditions for vehicles declined to the lowest reading in the history of the survey dating back to 1978.
The daily index of consumer sentiment from Morning Consult also declined in the first half of June.
As of June 15, the index was down 5.1% compared to May 31 and was at a new low for the index.

I agree.
Definitely a period where there was some really strong numbers in sales. Owners and reseller saw this, and for fear of missing out, a ton of people listed their cars for those prices intention of selling unless they got that price. Few sold, many did not.
If you can get it great, most likely if your client actually wants to sell this it's going to have to come down considerably

The days of seeing crazy astronomical numbers for cars might be coming to a halt. But this past year I've honestly thought to myself that most prices were "crack" prices... Too many cars being sold for a lot more than what they're worth, even though the market seems to be settling down a bit. Prices are still going to remain higher than they were before, just my two cents as I try to keep up with everything the best I can.
