I have available for sale a Testing kit.
It includes the lap top, the multiplexer and the interconnection cables.
What it can do:
Read codes
Provide part numbers
Factory repair instructions
Activate modules, for testing purposes.
On my C63, it can do a software based compression test on the engine, but not on my GLA45
On my C63, it can re-align (teach) the cams, an essential step after replacing the cams, or the headbolts.
Reset transmission shift points
Obviously, on other cars, there can be other items.
What I have noticed:
This is my second rig and I have noticed that the multiplexer has ports inside for rechargeable 3A batteries. If you do insert batteries, it will recharge them while you work on the car. Once there is some charge in them, the whole system seems to work more smoothly. So I keep batteries in the multiplexer and I am going to include them.
There are some inconsistencies, such as
There is no way to power down the multiplexer. The buttons on its facia all work, but there is no option to power it down. So it powers down when the batteries are removed or discharged. It is better that it powers down this way than without batteries it abruptly shuts off when removing the OBD2 connector.
The lap top is of an old model and I already had to change the battery. These are readily available on ebay, not original, but they work.
There is an option to wirelessly connect the multiplexer to the lap top, so that you can work from your office desk on the car as it sits in the driveway. To me, the risk of losing connection in the middle of a procedure is too big, so I never tried this.
A particular thing is that the date on the lap top has to be reset back to what it is, or earlier. You can never set the date and clock to the current date and clock.
With all this said and with a little bit of effort in learning the steps to connect to your car and to navigate the menus, this can be a great tool to any relatively newer Mercedes.
To owners of a C55, or E55, those cars are addressed by the DAS software, which is included with this unit, but which I have never used with this unit, as I don't have this generation of a Mercedes.
The advantage of buying this unit vs buying a new unit from an Asian site, is that this one has been tested to actually work and not just work for a month, due to capacitor or transistors which were never designed for this application, which some of these new units seem to sometimes have.
Price is $550 plus shipping.

Just to clarify a few things:
There is no warranty and there is no support with this unit.
However, I will provide some info in the form of some pictures here and messages that are matching, in order to help a buyer determine that the unit works, upon receiving it and help them connect to their car.
Researching how XENTRY Works, how to use the parts and factory repairs databases, is up to you, just like I researched it in the past.

The battery is so-so and should be judged by the era to which it belongs.
It can do 1 hour sometimes.
Once you're connected to your car and you're deep inside the menus and start to actuate injectors and start to provide teach-in routines, I recommend you do what I did: be extra safe and connect to a wall outlet.
I mean, the lap top will be fine, because it has a hybernation mode, but there's no way to know what Xentry will do, if stopped in the middle of something.
And yes, sometime the percentage of charge displayed for the battery can be misleading, the only way I would trust it somewhat, is if I just finished a charge to 100%.
