I bought the car in San Jose CA in 2011, 1st owner was in Torrance CA. Has been serviced at Mercedes Exclusively in San Jose CA, then Santa Monica Autoworks in Santa Monica CA.
Good stuff:
- Super clean, unmolested
- Always garaged
- For its age, I've kept the interior up better than cars with half the mileage - no cracks in the leather or stitching issues
- Eurocharged ECU tune
- E55 18" wheel upgrade with matching 18" full size spare
- Porterfield brake pads - they can be a little squeally, but they STOP
- New battery in last 4 months
- Just had rear main seal, valve cover seals, transmission filter, fluids, and brake fluid flushed
- Upgraded Parrot Asteroid Head unit
- Have receipts from 2011 for all work done - has been a low-effort car to own
- Have manuals, original radio, a spare Android radio and spare ECU
- Have the repair kit for the dash clock (ribbon cable and special soldering iron)
- Quality 50% tint all around side and rear windows
- Sprightly and quick and still gets good MPG for the power and age
Wear & Tear:
- Driver side headlight cover needs replacement - I have the polishing kit, looking to have detailer go over it soon
- 1st owner had a pet who left 2-3 little claw marks on vinyl panels in 3 spots inside -
- Contour seat air bladder started not holding recently
- Tires are showing their age - was holding off on this based on mechanic suggestion to find a set of 17" rims first
This is an easy car to drive AND show, and reps far better than many other CLKs I've seen for sale, with far less apparent wear and tear - no sun bleached interior or dried out rubber bits. Gets lots of compliments at shows and from mechanics too. A good home for it will be an enthusiast who is happy to join the AMG Private Lounge family for the rest of its journey.
