Description:
Recently found a car that I have my eye on so putting this out for sale.
It's a 2010 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG that currently has 83k miles on the odometer and carries a clean title. It does have 2 minor accidents on the front end that come up on the CarFax but there are no signs of paint work on the front end that i've noticed.
Ever since the W204 C63 came out, i've always wanted to own one. Like most cars, it had it's known issues and the M156 engine was known for head bolts breaking. Throughout the last several years i've been on a journey to own, experience, and cosmetically modify as many unique cars as possible. I tend to prefer cars from this era that feel more "raw" such as the E9X M3 or B7 RS4 platforms.
While browsing Facebook marketplace, I found a very well sorted W204 C63 that caught my eye. The previous owner owned the car for 9 years and his primary focus on the car was making it go fast. During his ownership, he had the car built by a shop called Tuning Technology Motorsports (TTM) in Farmingdale, NY.
Below is a brief overview regarding the performance modifications that he made:
Weistec Engineering
Weistec Engineering M156 Stage 2 Supercharger System (C-Class)
Includes:
2.3L Twin-Screw Compressor Module
1000hp Liquid to Air Intercooler Core
High Flow Cast Aluminum T6 Hardened Lower Manifold
High Flow Cast Aluminum T6 Hardened Throttle Body Inlet
45mm Boost Bypass Assembly
Billet Aluminum Direct Drive Cradle System
Supercharger Serpentine Drive Belt
Hard Anodized Billet Aluminum Serpentine Idlers
Johnson CM30 30 Liter / Min Intercooler Water Pump
Intercooler Water Recovery Tank
Cross Flow Heat Exchanger
High Flow Fuel Rail System
Molded Silicone Couplers
Power-Steering Reservoir Relocation Assembly
Weistec Engineering Stage 2 Supercharger ECU Reflash
M156 Racing Sparking Plug Set
Weistec Engineering M156 Head Stud Assembly desgined w/ ARP 625+ hardware
Oil / Air Serperator System
722.9 Competition Package
I have the invoice from Weistec for all of these parts and the specific Pick List for the build if you'd like to get more granular with the components.
The car also has Carrillo Rods, CP Pistons, SLS Valve Tappets, MBH Headers & X Pipe, 5.5 Gallon Ice Tank DC150 Pump, Snow Performance 2.5 Water / Meth Injection Kit, and much more.
On the dyno, the car put down 671rwhp on MS109 fuel. The car is "overbuilt" and on a conservative set up as the previous owner didn't want to push the car to it's limits so if you wanted to, you COULD squeeze more power out of it.
The process that I enjoy the most is cosmetic restoration and modifications.
When I first got the car, It had the following modifications:
Carbon Fiber Front Lip
Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser w/ customer 3rd Light
Carbon Fiber Style Side Mirror Covers
Carbon Fiber Lip Wing
Matte Black Front Grill
Matte Black Rear Emblems (C63, AMG, and center star)
2014 FL Rear Bumper
2014 FL Rear Taillights
I liked the cosmetic changes that he made so I was able to just add to what he had already done. The cosmetic changes that I made were:
Carbon Fiber Side Skirt Extensions
Carbon Fiber Rear Side Splitters
Gloss Black Front Grille
Gloss Black 6.3L Side Emblems
Gloss Black C63 Emblem
Gloss Black AMG Emblem
Gloss Black Trunk STAR Emblem
Gloss Black Fog Light Housing
Color Matched Eyelids
6,000K White LED fog Light Bulbs
6.000K Parking Lights
White LED License plate housings
H&R Lowering Springs
In addition to those changes, I also undid some small details which include:
Door handles - The previous owner wrapped the chrome portion of the door handles in a "carbon fiber" style vinyl. Personally, i'm not crazy about carbon fiber vinyl so i removed it and replaced it with Gloss Black covers that they make for them. This way it looks cleaner but the chrome is still there if someone prefer the chrome.
Rear Trunk Trim - The rear trunk trim piece was also wrapped in carbon vinyl so I had that removed and wrapped in Gloss Black by one of my local vinyl shops. I tried to find a replacement trunk trim piece in gloss black but couldn't find one.
Interior Trim - The center trim piece around the shifter and the AC controls were also wrapped in the carbon fiber vinyl. I removed it and just left the factory wood finish exposed which is still in great shape with no chips / cracking.
During my ownership, i've also done the following:
Bluetooth Audio - Installed an adapter that allows Bluetooth Audio to stream through the factory MMI system. From the factory, it has Bluetooth phone. I do enjoy listening to music when I drive and the factory Bose system sounds pretty good with no blown speakers or anything.
ProClip USA Phone bracket w/ MAGSAFE mount - I'm not a fan of sticking things on my windshield or on the dash, so i found a vehicle specific phone bracket that was made for the W204 chassis. The mount that I installed was compatible with the MAGSAFE case that i'm currently using on my phone but it can be changed out to your specific phone.
Oil Change - I ordered a oil change kit from FCP Euro and replaced it with the same Liqui-Moly oil that the previous owner used @ 81,996
Battery - The car sat for a while with the previous owner since he didn't have time to drive it. Despite him charging the battery, it died almost immediately when I picked it up and stopped to get gas. As soon as I got hime, I replaced it with a Duralast H8 AGM Platinum Battery on 1/22/25 (3 year warranty)
Trickle Charger - Though I drive the car relatively often on fair weather days, I want to ensure that the vehicles battery stays in "tip top shape" so i installed a CTEK quick disconnect and keep it on a trickle charger when it's not being driven.
O2 Sensor - Around 2/4/25, i had a CEL come on with the code P2626. After looking into it, it looks like it was related to a upstream O2 Sensor, so i ordered an OE Equivalent (Bosch) from Pelican Parts and it hasn't come on since.
Driver Front Stabilizer End Link: While the car was in the air for an oil change, we noticed that the driver front stabilizer end link was worn. These were replaced on 4/2/25
Evap Canister: Once in a while, I would randomly get a P2422 code which is related to the EVAPORATIVE EMISSION SYSTEM VENT VALVE STUCK CLOSED. The light didn’t affect the drivability of the car but I've noticed that sometimes after a fill up, the car will take longer than normal to start. After replacing the EVAP canister, the light hasn’t come back on and car fires right up after a fill up. This was replaced on 4/2/25
Supercharger Belt - Around 3/15/25, I noticed that the supercharger belt looked worn. I ordered a replacement from Weistec Engineering and had it replaced on 3/21/25 @ 82,416 miles.
Rail Molding Clear Coat Peeling - When I first got the car, the only "major" paint imperfections was the clear coat on the rail moulding trim piece was peeling on both sides. I removed both and had them repainted in gloss black.
Rear Side Bolster - The rear side bolster of the rear seat was sticking out and wouldn't snap back into black. After looking into it, I noticed that a tab on the plastic clip that it snaps into was broken so I replaced the clip and that fixed the issue.
Lower Center Grill - The OEM “honeycomb” style grill is made out of plastic and as we know, plastic becomes brittle over time. 1 small section of the grill was broken and it bothered me so I replaced the lower center grill on 4/20/25.
Paint Correction & Ceramic Coating - While the paint looked pretty good when I got it, we all know that black is one of the most challenging colors to keep "perfect". I did a multi-stage paint correction on the car and applied a layer of GYEON Pure Evo Ceramic coating which is rated as a 3-year coating with the proper maintenance.
Overall, I think that the car is in great condition both mechanically and cosmetically considering its age and the miles. There are currently no lights on the dash, I haven't noticed any leaks on my floor, and the car runs and drives as it should.
Anytime the car is driven, It's hand washed using the safest washing techniques to minimize surface scratching, tucked into the garage, and kept on a trickle charger.
IMPERFECTIONS (in the photos and labeled)
While the car has an extensive list of mechanical upgrades and changes, It's still a 15 year car at this point. I try to be as transparent as possible anytime I sell a car so here are all of the things that I view as "imperfections":
- Low Windshield Washer Fluid Light: Upon Start up you will get a light that comes on that says "Low washer fluid" but that is because the tank was removed to fit the supercharger kit.
- Dings, Dings, Dings: While the body is in exceptional shape considering it's age, it still has some cosmetic imperfections:
Small Ding on the passenger front door
Ding on the rear deck lid
- Paint Chips: There are some areas around the car the have scratches but have touch up paint to make it less noticeable.
Passenger rear quarter panel edge (most notable cosmetic imperfection)
- Scratch on glass: On the rear windshield, I noticed that there are some scratches in the glass. This was there from the previous owner and worth noting.
- Minor scuff on the driver side seat. Considering the seats are a "cream" finish, they are in exceptional condition with no major cracks or tears but do have some wear.
That is everything that comes to mind but if something else comes up that I forgot, I will continue to modify and update the ad.
OTHER NOTES
The wheels that came on the car when I got them have a very "aggressive" spec so the Hankook Ventus V12 Tires that are on them are stretched. I believe that he went with that spec to ensure there was enough clearance without hitting the rear QP. At WOT, the car doesn't have an issue hooking up as long as they are warmed up.
I can provide additional photos, video, and information upon request for serious buyers.
I have a ton of extra parts that will come with the car including an OEM car cover.
