I have had this car for about 3.5 years and put 22,000 miles on it and had a bunch of maintenance and safeguarding done. To make sure this car lasts another 90,000 miles, I had a bunch of parts replaced: camshaft on passenger side, all the cam gear adjusters, timing chain, coolant lines for the turbos, spark plugs, coil wires, and all 4 O2 sensors. Also replaced all brake pads and rotors. Oil Changes at 5,000 miles
Modifications: Pressertech Stage 2 tune, intake spacers, BMC air filters, exhaust resonators deleted and an X-pipe put in (sounds good outside and barely noticeable inside), aluminum intake pipes, and Creative Steel motor mounts to handle the increased power. The tune, without the intake spacers, is 540hp and 705tq at the crank.
As some preventive measures I installed cam sensor harness extenders, as these cars are known to leak a little oil from there and get in the wire harness and is a very expensive repair compared to the $100 extenders. I also did the oil pump solenoid mod to help with lubrication and help prevent cylinder scoring.
The rear subframe was replaced under a factory recall and the springs were as well because they rusted out. Also, the coolant inlet pipe in the back of driver side head was replaced with the updated version. New blower motor and resistor for the HVAC.
Inside is nearly perfect minus a couple of scratches on the drives lock button and a scratch around the infotainment knob. There are also a couple knicks on the upper part of the steering wheel. Has functioning rear sunshade, as well.
Outside is ok with a few knicks and paint swirls here and there but still looks good. I replaced the factory 18” wheels with some 2015-2017 S550/S600 wheels and new longer wheel bolts because they are much thicker at the face. Fronts are 19x8.5 +36 with 245/35/19 tires, and rears are 19x9.5 +44 with 285/35/19 tires; Continental Extreme Contact.
