This E55 is a solid car and the last "large" production AMG vehicle to be finished at the AMG factory in Affalterbach (aside from AMG specials like the black series). I've read 2002 productions numbers for the U.S. to be around 500-550. The W210 E55 is seen as one of the last old school AMG vehicles with its more angular vintage AMG exterior and clean/simple interior. One of the things I love about this car are the gauges which reminds you of the age without dating the interior. To me, this car is similar to the 964 (last hand assembled Porsche with classic 911 lines). I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car from Los Angeles to New York and back. • New throttle position sensor 2 months ago (these tend to go bad in a lot of MB's of this era)

Things that could use attention:

• CD changer is not functional
• The orthopedic seats need new air hoses
• Quarter size dent in the driver's side rear door
• A few small scratches that are hard to see from 5' away.
• The front end had a clear bra on it since 2002. I've removed about 60%, but left a portion on the lower front bumper to protect the paint from any road damage.
