2. All nitrogen spheres replaced (proactively)
3. ABC pulsation dampener replaced (proactively)
4. Trans plug upgraded to new, leak proof model (proactively)
5. crank position sensor replaced (proactively)
6. Added factory camber adjustment up front (proactively) to protect tire life
7. "sticky buttons" on steering wheel replaced
While it was still with the first owner a lot of the "big" items were done including both coil packs, trans and engine mounts, and at least one turbo oil cooler line and seal and a high pressure, power steering line. Along with a new alternator at 80,000 miles. I have the VMI if you want to look it over.
Everything with the exception of the pass. rear map light works as it should. All the shades, sunroofs, soft close stuff, night vision, active seats, etc etc. When I got the car 3 yrs ago I had a goal of creating the Ultimate Road Trip Car. So, all maintenance and upgrades reflect that. Last thing I wanted was to get stuck in Nebraska with a bad crank position sensor or whatever. No leaks, dry underneath.
Front bumper is a little scuffed and a foglight is broken, but I had planned to get that re-sprayed. There's also a scratch an slight dent on front pass door from when I dropped a bike and it hit the car a little. I was going to get it fixed, but didn't want the carfax "hit. Might still do that.
109,6xx miles (all the miles I have put on it were highway). I bought it for road trips only in the summer (it's my 3rd car). Just did a 2,400 mile trip to Colorado and back with not a single hiccup or issue. She truly is "the corporate jet"
I am a disciple of "Bruce_M" of bringatrailer.com (if you don't know, he's kind of the guru of V-12 Mercs) and did extensive research before I bought this particular car. To say it's been enthusiast owned would be an understatement!

How are these for long term reliability can anyone chime in? I’ve read that the coil packs and ABC are the big ticket repairs on these and maybe engine mounts. Once you replace these parts what are the chances that they will need to be replaced again? I understand this isn’t an accord but I want it to be decently reliable. Coil packs I might be able to do myself and basic maintenance but everything else will likely be taken to my trustworthy mechanic (30+ euro experience). Would you buy one especially given the mileage? I really do love these. I’m caught between this, e55, a D4 A8 L and an ML550

I'm selling this and shopping for another near/entry level exotic and I'll tell you what.. I am not even looking at low mileage garage queens. I want one that has been driven regularly. For all the V12 and AMG cars maintenance history and documentation matters way more than miles. I'll take a 80k car with a fat stack of dealer invoices over the 56k car with "a recent oil change". These things are more like airplanes where upkeep is king, even over age or miles. Put it this way.. I bought this one with 80+K on the clock and it never gave me any problems that were catastrophic. I'd steer clear of Audis... they seem to be junk once older. Mercedes seem to age better...

I screwed up and bought another car so I need this one gone ASAP! Just did a $2,000 price cut. Hit me with reasonable offers people. I can honestly say this is the most well maintained W221 S600 for sale right now. I have EVERY service record from mile 1!

In particular, the ABC system
Curb rash, that I can get fixed if the buyer wants
door ding/scratch on pass front door
13 year old paint...

Yeah, they will most likely want no reserve and I don't want to catch some bad luck and have it go for $13k or something.
As it is, the current price is "firesale" if you shop any comps. Hoping to move it to another enthusiast that will take good care of it!

Your car looks pampered and well taken care of. I would try listing it on cars.com snd Autotrader if you haven’t already. I’ve had good look selling cars on those portals. All’s get some good exterior glamour shots with a tree lined back ground or a grassy field. Good lucking selling it

Yup you're right though I'd speak with them (BaT). Idk their internal guidelines and how they make decisions on whether it should be an auction with reserve price or no reserve auction. Anyway it may worth contacting them. I totally agree with you that it may not receive the right bid if you do a no reserve auction. Also there is their rival Cars and Bids by Doug. Worth try it too.

Not sure why this car hasn't sold yet. Beautiful 221 body style with a buttery smooth engine that will no longer be offered in the S-Class. Seller seems very transparent and enthusiast owned as well. GLWS!
