just fyi i have owned a clk430, c32, c55, 2x w209 clk55s among many other Mercedes and currently have an e55 and glk350. I have been playing this game for a long time. I wish you the best of luck but I don't think it will sell at this price. I am currently in the market for an 05 clk55 hard top but there is no way I would pay over 10k for one.

Im betting this is very temporary. I bought my first one about 3 years ago, while in very rough shape, for 3500. Like i said i am in talks with someone about buying a c55 for 7500 right now. you can go of BAT or what people are trying to get for them you have to go on what they have sold for. If we all just took a stand and said it is work X(above market price) then we would never sell them. Time will tell though i could be wrong but IMO if you buy a 14-15yo amg Mercedes for 20k you are going to regret it.
people talk about the reliability of the the c and clk55 like it is some magic car. the only thing less reliable on the w211 e55 is the air suspension. In fact the brakes are les son my e55 that my old 05 clk55 and the fuel pump that goes bad in all of the m113 cars was replace by MB. Not so much for the 203 and 209 cars. not to mention that they can from the factory with 100 more hp and way better interior.

I will state this again and for the last time. The market dictates the price. Yes the prices are high now. You can post your car for 1 million dollars that is not the worth regardless of what you think. the worth is what someone else is willing to pay. till i start seeing these cars for for 20k i wont believe they are worth that.

That black car.. that has more miles than mine, is higher priced and it’s in Washington.. was traded in and the guy got $16k for it and no he did not buy another car on the lot. In my honest opinion, a realistic price for this today is 16k
I'd say 15-16k would be about right for a BAT auction. If I were the OP I'd try that, if he hasn't already, and avoid the silly commentary from the cheap seats over here.
I think the biggest red flag here is that you're trying to get near as makes no difference 20 grand for a car and you won't spend $20 on an updated carfax. There are no pictures of receipts, the underbody, the engine bay, or the interior. Those things are all pretty important. If you're serious about selling this car why not put in a little more effort? It wouldn't take you more than an hour.
not for nothing, the maint posted isn’t amazing either, yeah the cars are reliable but they need proper maintenance to hold up that title!
