Unwisely decided to get in a pissing contest/stand up for myself - whatever you want to call it - with other members on the board.

Got escalated/heated.

Wasn't wise enough at the time to just leave it alone, ignore it.

Thought it was my duty, obligation to point out what I believed were violations of the TOU agreement, and to some degree my frustration(s) with what I perceived as lack of enforcement of it by moderators.

Responded to a moderator directly in a discussion over this topic.

Got banned for a month(?), still on probation, and learned the lesson....

My reason for responding in some detail to your question?

Learn from my mistake -- and don't make the same one.

When other members are giving you shiznit on the forums, my advice is to ignore it - whatever you do or don't do, don't enter into a pissing match over it or further it in attempt to defend yourself - or your position.

And if the moderators say anything, just shut up and don't respond to them with anything other than a, "Yes Sir!".

Hoping that my experience, and this post, keeps others of you from entering into the same mistake that I made.

 

A little joke, the first time I saw that when I joined I thought you were in jail or something :rofl:

 

Just don't do like I did and go there:
you lose your ability to PM, to post-up a pic, to vote in a a poll...and I forget what else....

You forgot a little detail that you were advised not to boast .If you have usefull info then post it but the extra crap that you say is not needed and no one asked you for it.
There is nothing wrong with defending yourself , that's a natural human reaction.

 

Clay, I am curious, What kind of jet do you own? What line of business are you in? With the money you claim to be able to spend on toys you are way past the pro athlete salary.I dont know of many entertainers that are on your level either. If I were a billionaire I wouldn't waste my time with common folk like me on here. I work very hard for what I have. I started my mortgage company 3 years ago and have my 1st Benz. Very similar to restricting a Pre-Schooler from going to recess with all the other boys and girls. It would allow the Pre-Schooler to read a book, bake some cookies or plant a tree for senior citizens. In other words, the 'Ban' would give us members a 'break' and allow the pre-schooler to get a life.

I was talking to one of my GM's last night about what pictures the guy he had sent to the show produced, what he had to report, etc. - and he tells me that the Exelero wasn't there(!).

And I am like, "Well I have seen photos of one of them at MBZ Classic Center in LA - obviously being prepped for Pebble...so get on it with your guy".

Apparently he missed the HUGE black car sitting out in front of the Lodge(!). Bad traffic? Bad hairday?

I am working on both the pictures and the website at this current point in time....
