Not feeling this at all! Not every car needs to be "tuned" up. You ever seen a rolls royce with a sports package?

I don't like the exhaust neither but I have to admit that a maybach deserve a more refined treatment than a sport quad exhaust.

Things change! We will probably also see tuned Rolls and Bentleys since they are owned by BMW and VW. The aftermarket stuff is coming for all 3. Especially when the Bentley Continental GT hits - It will be tuned. The market has changed and the people buying these cars are the younger afflent and they all want to individualize their Rolls, Maybach and Bentleys.

These people want to be seen and be different and want others envious and don't want to pull up at Neiman-Marcus in 90210 Beverley Hills and park next to the same car.

I seriously doubt it. For one thing, the Maybach, Rolls and Bentley Arnage speak for themselves. Tunning these cars up results in looking tacky. Keep in mind that we are not talking about S classes. As far as been seen in a similar car, you would rarely see two maybachs/Rolls together unless you are at the factory, being that only 600/300, respectively, were sold. You mentioned the Bentley GT being tuned, which is stating the obvious, because the GT is a sports car. The Maybach/Rolls are not sports cars though.

I don't know if you know it but Maybach authorized Brabus to use the Maybach symbol on their car. That's a big proof of serious.

A Rolls-Royce has the least enthusiast appeal of ANY car make in the world. Did they ever make a race car or performance exhaust. The 04 Roll-Royce Phantom is U-G-L-Y!

Bentleys won many races before WWII and won the 24 hours of Le Mans several times. They won it last year too.

The Maybach is something different than the Arnage and the Rolls. It is new and fresh but doesn't say "I've got loads more cash than you do" like a Bentley or a Rolls. Plus, it has 21st century aerodynamics.

That said, I would still rather have a 2004 Bentley Arnage T in a candy apple red (or some dark red) with champagne leather with birch bark cheery wood trim and Fikse wheels. but i'm just dreaming...

True, when driving the Maybach I realized that this is actually a very low key car. Only when standing at a traffic light do some people notice it on second look. It is not in your face.

Imho, there is no Bentley that can really compete with the Maybach; the Arnage T is slower, less capable from a handling perspective and less luxurious. The Continental GT is faster (a bit ), but as a 2 door coupe weighing in at almost 5300 pounds (only a mere 800 pounds heavier than the CL600) quite a hog. Handling-wise I have read mixed reviews.

I agree. It is lame when people bling out a Bentley Arnage. Why not leave it as the factory intended?

Or at least get quality forged wheels that aren't chromed.

One TASTEFUL way to set your car apart is to special order a color combo. Why get silver or black when you could get special-ordered color?

C'mon...$2,000 is not much to pay when getting a Bentley or an expensive AMG.

Could you imagine an Aston Martin DB9 with cheap chrome wheels?!

Take a look at this article on the DB9...
