2006 CL55 AMG in need of 2.82 ratio
Hello fellow MB enthusiasts, I've a W215 2006 CL55 AMG. The plan is to install a Quaife limited slip differential with 2.82 ratio ring and pinion. Stock ratio is 2.65. I've read from W215 forum members that the 2006 Maybach has a 2.82 ratio and may share the same carrier. This same question was sent to Quaife and Kevin Bird, who sells Qauife. Surely appreciate any information that leads to a solution. Thank you.

Out Of Control!!
Wow I am also waiting with baited breath to learn what the boys have to say.
However I wouldn't be looking at the farm team, I'd go to the majors---any MB dealer worth his salt can answer that question.

Updating an old thread: Bird Has explained that if the teeth count is accurate between the 2 the Quaife will work with the Maybach 57/62s 2.82 diff.
Part# a2403502214 for diff. Part# for complete diff housing: a2403501414. Not clear if axles etc will work with CL55 so I am only focused on internal diff at this time.
further if you look at Renntech Mercedes locking diff they show the W215/C215 CL55/65 will fit their Maybach 57/62s lock diff option:

since I have already added the Quaife to my CL55 I will do the 2.82 conversion as soon as I locate.
The 2.82 in my SL55 with Quaife is rocket shop so can’t wait to do conversion.
Good luck to all that try and accomplish. Share your findings.
