Welcome to the MBWorld.org Group Buy Forum. We have created this forum to allow members to arrange group purchases, while also permitting MBWorld.org Sponsors a forum to advertise their wares. Please do us the favor of reviewing the following policy PRIOR to posting threads in this forum.

Posting by an individual "Member":

Of course we would prefer you try to arrange your group purchase through one of our many Sponsors for items that they carry and can provide in a reasonable amount of time. Shopping with our Sponsors is really what keeps this board "Free" and allows us to make the necessary upgrades that ultimately benefit all members. The current list of supporting sponsors can be found here.

With that said, you are not prohibited from arranging a "one-time" group purchase with a "non-sponsoring" vendor, as long as you are not an employed or contract agent for that vendor. In addition, you must not reap any gains from the sale, including taking a better discount for yourself than that offered to all of the group purchase participants. Finally, be sure your group purchase product is not in direct competition with MBWorld.org Sponsor products.

** IMPORTANT** Absolutely NO group purchase threads with a "non-sponsoring" vendor will be permitted without the PRIOR approval of one of the Administrators here. This means you MUST consult with an Administrator at webmaster@mbworld.org BEFORE starting your thread to avoid confusion or disappointment. Threads started without prior approval are subject to deletion without notice or recourse.

Bottom line: If you are unsure about whether your group purchase with a "non-sponsoring" vendor is allowed, you should PM one of the Administrators FIRST with all the details of the potential group purchase. Please allow 72 hours to receive a response (we take vacations, too), and plan your group buy start date accordingly. ****

Normally, Group Purchases should remain open at least two (2), but not more than four (4), weeks. To further assist our members, please notify an Administrator or Moderator when your Group Purchase is over so that the Title can be updated with the words "Now Closed". Periodically, Group Purchase threads with "non-sponsoring" vendors that appear to go on "forever" as an advertisement will be closed.

Posting by a "Non-Sponsoring" Vendor:

"Non-sponsoring" vendors are welcome to participate on all MBWorld.org forums and use its many features with full privileges BUT as an individual "Member". More importantly, we must ask that individual "Members" representing "non-sponsoring" vendors (including agents, dealers, staff, etc.) not advertise or promote any companies, products or services in any way. The use of text, logos, images, links or any other means to advertise, promote or obtain potential business will not be allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, all messages, profile signatures or any other communicative features available on MBWorld.org. A list of our "supporting" vendors is available for viewing here.
