    Hello Dangermouse,
    You seem to be the gas spring specialist for trunk partitioner :-) !
    I tried to remove the old one just before buying the one you found and I couldn't remove them.
    I have correct access, but I see no bolt or screw to be removed, and I didn't managed to remove them by just pulling.
    I think you posted somewhere that they are supposed to just pop out, but I don't dare to pull too strong, I don't want to damage something.
    Would you have an advise for me ?

    Hello,

    I got a 2005 CLK-320 Cabriolet in June 2011, right after you.
    Mine is pewter with cream leather interior. Nice.
