I'm planing to install Xtrons Android headunit PB78M211P with fiber optic decoder box FOBB01 in my W211 with factory Comand NTG1 headunit and 6 disc CD Changer. With this decoder box FOBB01 I will retain factory amplifier which is wired in Fiber Optics. My car doesn't have Harman Kardon, but it has 9 speakers and subwoofer ( see picture ). Will all my speakers including subwoofer and factory amp work after installing new Android headunit? I will use stock amp, and I will only change headunit, everything else will be untouched, so I'm wondering, only with headunit changed and with decoder box, will be my audio system sound quality and bass the same as before with factory headunit or possibly better or worse with installed xtrons headunit? I saw your post "My head unit DIY with stock speakers amp and retaining fibre optics" I own Japanese w211 too. When I disconnected the OEM head unit the SRS lights up! When scanned with odb result was "
Child Seat Occupancy Recognition Sensor defective". My question is did you have same issue with SRS after installing aftermarket head unit? I assume that either the sensor is wired through head unit or embedded inside head unit it self.

The situation is the following : when engine start , cold engine and hot start , sometimes the sound of the engine scares me , look at the link it looks like such a sound! What could be the reason? ( the mileage of the car is 20,000 miles , 2008)
