Help needed with a door panel ML270 02
Hello and a very merry christmas to you all,
I need some help please. I have just purchased a ML270 2002 and I absolutely love it! He has a few problems that need putting right but the main one is the passenger inside door panel. The bottom of the panel has come loose and the door keeps sticking. It seems to be catching on the silver trim on the floor.
So, how easy is it to fix? Would I be able to do this myself? Where can I buy parts if needed (I am thinking some sort of clips?)
This is my first car that I have bought for myself, by myself, and I would really like to try and fix his little problems by myself too (I dont trust garages, they rip females off. Sorry, guys but it is true)
If anyone could help by giving me some advice I would really appreciate it.

Remove the door panel using the door panel trim tool. Each and every clip must be pried off resulting in the clips remaining on the panel.
Either clips (green arrow) are missing, broken or or their retainers (red arrow) are broken. Replace those clips with ones bought at a M/B dealer and repair the retainers as best you can, if that is the case.

A big screw driver does the job. Just wrap some cloth around it to protect the paint work. Don't forget the screws under the door handle and under the cosmetic thing behind the opener. You should take the whole panel off to investigate why the panel has slid down.
