Here is a link to the info on the 2016 services that are free for 5 years (Connect) but it still costs $199 for Secure and $20 a month for concierge.
The apps are not too compelling as the internet link is only 3g and they are $18 a month.

The standard connect is free for 5 years which include a few helpful items.
At home the car is parked in the garage but before I leave the gym I can just remote start it and let the engine warm up and cool/warm the cabin.
I absolutely love this on my explorer and use it pretty much every day.

Personally I'm really glad the MBRACE basic package is included now with the MY16s. The list of items is great considering the cost. Remote start and Send2Benz alone make it awesome!

I just picked up a 2016 e350. Downloaded mbrace - no remote start.

Mbrace website advertises that Remote Start is standard on all 2016 models... however, clearly something is missing here.

You need to read the fine print. It states select 2016 models. Basically every model that launched after the 222 will support remote start except the GTS.

The following models will not have remote start available until the redesign:
172
207
212
218
231
463

The W and X 166 will get it with the facelift.

Unfortunately, I've confirmed 2016 E350 does not have mBrace Remote Start. I just picked one up this week and am pretty disappointed about the absence of this feature.

You are correct. Effective August 1 you will get 5 Years of Service. The only vehicles to get remote start are the C, GLC, GLE, and S class.

I just picked up a 2016 E350 as well. I am also very disappointed about the lack of Remote Start.
