"..., the Sebring race is now the season opening event in the American Le Mans Series. It is known as an excellent preparation for the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, ..."
Also:

"The premier events of the [American LeMans] series include the season opening 12 Hours of Sebring held in March"
The Sebring race was held on March 18.

I'm guessing most other countries get radio coverage as well as t.v.?
The "old" channel, Speedvision, was about cars, planes AND boats. Now, 90% of the programming is NASCAR.

That being said, you may be in for a few surprises. The races on CBS are pout on by this whiz kid who is hell bent on making F1 popular in the US, and last year he produced a pretty sweet F1 lifestyle show hosted by Jenson Button from the playboy mansion! If that tone is translated to the actual race show, it may be a good one. Dunno who the commentators will be this time but I agree previous ones suck.

Well let me say this. I'll admit, I saw the LB GP on Speed last Friday. Geez, was that ever Horrible coverage. They showed the first corner crash AT LEAST a dozen times.
Let me put this out there. As a race fan, I actually hate the crashes. Hate them. I want to see passing, and ***** out driving. When there are wrecks it ruins the tempo.
I hope you are right about the CBS coverage this year...Derek Daly's voice is still ringing in my head from last year's U.S. GP..."tis a FARCE" lol....
Anyway, as long I get to see coverage and hear the engines and check out the pit babes, I'm okay with that. The ever-changing rules are the hardest part to keep up with and good commentators who have a handle on the circumstances can provide the best insight.
Thing is...F1 gets no respect, except on Speed. Look at what programming is scheduled after the San Marino GP (on CBS)....GOLF! Sheeett....couple Safety cars and they could chop off the end of the race or cut the post-race interviews.
JUST MAKIN SURE:
the race is on at 10 am PACIFIC TIME on sun?
what a horrible time
, id rather stay up till 430am and then go to sleep at 7 and wake up late (very late) on sunday
