Any venue would be better than Hungary.

Bad Sand??????

No, not really. No one likes Hungary, not the drivers, the teams, certainly not the TV audiences. Ecclestone only put it on the calendar to "open-up the Eastern Block" to F1. More like "pounding sand" to me. LOL!

Turkey. My guess that Turkey will be the most likely to host a "Middle Eastern" race. It's more cosmopolitan than places like the UAE or Bahrain, and much safer for Westerners than Cairo.

I think that Moscow will get a race because they can still advertise cigarettes there. Hadn't heard anything about India - I bet China will get a race before India though.

Cheers, BT

It's already been confirmed that there will be an Egyptian Grand Prix in 2004, however, I find this doubtful considering they have not even began construction yet.

It will be a circuit going around the pyramids... it will be one of the most spectator freindly grand prix's throughout the entire season.

Where did you read this, John? Autosport seems to be under the impression that the following countries are the most likely to get the next GP: Russia, Turkey, China and Bahrain. I think the current security (or maybe I should say "lack of security") issues in Egypt (remember that busload of Western tourists machine-gunned to death by terrorists) will prevent a GP from occuring there anytime in the immediate future.
