Is Mercedes buying Mclaren
Is it true that mercedes is buying the mclaren f1 team.

Does this mean that in the future MB will brand some of its passenger cars as mclaren, like they do with AMG.

And that one has been around a long time....

I'M buying Mclaren and F1 and Paul Ricard from Ecclestone -- before he even has a chance to sell any of it to those bums at Daimler-Chrysler!!!

And McLaren and Ferrari are mine too!

And AMG - I want it too!

They're ALL mine! (But you can keep Toyota... ).

Nah, I don't think so; I think any current plans or possibilities of that happening in the near future are just ... rumours.

What I want to know is what is the current on-again-off-again production status of the P8 --

That's what I want to know....

Not on an internet forum. My source (in UK) advises I can hint to some of the MBWorld regulars at AMGfest as long as I don't reveal any names. You'll have to hop on that G5 of yours and head to Montvale next weekend if you want the 'skinny'.....
