Autoweek is reporting that when McNish exited via the guardrail during qualifying, the onboard telemetry reported that he pulled 69 G's . OOOWWWWCH
that's gotta hurt. no wonder the track doctors wouldn't let him back out.

 

Impacts of 140 G's have recorded by CART and Indy cars. If McNish had hit a solid wall, the G force recorded would have been much higher.
