OZ GP [Spoiler]
As for Alonso, the R28 is clearly a wagon, but the guy drove the heck out of it. Sliding on every turn, reeling in the BMW and again keeping the significantly better McLaren and Ferrari at bay.
The move of the race, if you didn't notice, was Alonso passing BOTH the McLaren and Ferrari at one go. That was all about using his head and it paid off quite well. Of course there was luck involved, but in the alleged words of Roger Penske "The harder we work, the luckier we get".
HK's comment about hitting the pit-lane speed limiter button was a great example of leaving your mouth shut and keep everyone wondering what happened, vs. opening it and confirming oneself as an idiot

Enjoyed your posts and agree with much of your opinions. But I did want to straighten out one thing you said
While Roger Penske (and many others) might have plagiarised it, the quote is originally attributed to Gary Player back in the 70's playing at the St Andrews golf tournament. His ball was lying up against a wall and he swung his club left handed and hit the ball onto the green with the back of the club. The journalist on the course next to Gary Player remarked "wow that was a lucky shot" and Gary replied - " I find the harder I practice, the luckier I get."
Its a quote that gets used and re-used a lot!!
Congrats Lewis!!!

Heikki looked a little nervous with donkey breathing down his neck, poor guy presses the pit lane speed limiter button. Can't choke again, Heikki.
God i hate Ferrari (The team & owner, not the car or drivers.)
But counting out either Ferrari or Kimi/Felipe is naive and very premature at this time. Perhaps if Kuala Lumpur is a repeat, then there may be some pattern emerging. Remember that the first race, esp w/ all the changes to the cars and the drivers/teams, can be and was chaotic, to say the least; hence, not a good predictor of future finishes.
>>>go MM, go Lewis>>>>>

I love it!!
