Don't have a Mercedes right now...
Yes, if they really fixed their reliability problems it's going to be extremely hard for others to compete with them. I was glad to see Kubica doing well, I was hoping for him to get pole and win the race. Over the last few years, he strikes me to be a nice guy and a very underrated driver, he never had the chance to prove himself in a car that has the potential to win the championship.

If you look at Alonso's performance, he has made 4 big mistakes in 6 races (first lap spin, stupid quali, jump start, stupid crash in practice). The 2 where he has not made those mistakes, he won and came in second, and he is second in the standings. It is unlike Alonso to make so many mistakes, and I attribute it to being new in the team and self imposed pressure to smoke everyone. I think that as soon as he gets in the zone, he will indeed be unbeatable.
