Idle
For some reason, my 1999 E430 (W210) has recently started idling seemingly a bit too low while in "D". It idles around 600 RPMs and it creates some vibration. When I put it into "P" or "N" it idles a bit higher and smooths out.
The vibration is highly irritating at stoplights. What is it supposed to idle at AND if I can adjust the idle myself, how do I do it?
Thanks, -DL

could be the motor mounts
usually if it idles rough but goes away even with a slight rise in RPM is could be the motor mount.. not sure if this is ur exact symptom

Good point, thanks. I had a similar symptom in a Honda years ago & it was the idle control, but your suggestions makes sense as I had a motor mount issue with a 300SE yet produced a different symptom.
