About to service tansmission (2002 C240 Auto): Any advice?
My wife's car is coming up on 100,000 miles and I am going to change the filter and fluid. I plan on documenting the procedure but was hoping to get some advice from anyone that has already performed the service.
Thanks!!

I'm only familiar with the transmission in my car. Is your transmission one that is supposed to be filled for life, has no dipstick, and must have its level checked at a certain temperature? If it's the "filled for life" design, use only MB fluid.
To err on the safe side, I'd capture every drop of drained fluid, measure how much came out, and replace with the exact amount.
Look for a drain plug on the torque converter. If your torque converter has one, then use it.... you'll end up replacing most of the fluid.
When refilling, add four quarts of the charge that was drained out, start the engine, and while the engine is idling, add the remaining charge.

First check if you have a dipstick and torque converter drain. The torque converter drain is toward the rear of the unit and it has to be rotated into position.
If there is no dipstick, and you fluid wasn't at the proper level, then you're out of luck and need to visit the dealer.
