Electric seats failing (Yet another fault)
Just posted this on W208, this maybe common to another Benz:
Just wondering if anybody suffered from their electric seats failing?
I just tilted my passenger seat forward to let someone into the rear and the base didn’t return to its original position.
The seat rake works but the forward\back position is locked into position.
If I press the button to move it back I can hear a 'click' which sounds like the relay activating, so I guess power is getting to it.
Any ideas?? Help!!!
Quite disheartening add this to the door strap failing, electric window fault, intermittent parktronic and the occasional ESP fault. Welcome to Mercedes Ownership I guess!

I checked the fuses under the bonnet before I posted and they were all ok, but the one in the boot was blown.

Your Welcome - having been there I know it's frustrating. If it persists - the motors and track rail system should be changed. That was done for me and it stopped blowing fuses.

Or Wrap some aluminium foil around the fuse that will stop it blowing
.........Only joking! LOL
I'm just wondering if the rail needs cleaning \ regreasing ,I can imagine all the grit and dirt it would attract on the floor.
