Steering funny on W202

Not too long ago, I posted on the C36, C43 board about an overheating incident I had. I will copy the story here as a base for my question.
__________
I was driving (and close to my dealer) when I started to hear a grinding sound. Although I tried to tell myself it was not from my car, I played with the gas to see it there were any changes in the sound. There was. The sound got louder as I drove slower. I pulled over and opened the hood to notice the fan was not turning.

The belt seemed to be in the right place (but I should have checked the tension). I should have called the dealer, but decided to make a 2 mile run to the dealer (not my brightest idea). I turned off the A/C and rolled down the windows, praying the oil temp. would not go it the red.

Along the way, I lost my power steering and the oil temp hit the red for about 3 minutes. The engine was running fine, but the aux. fans were going a mile a minute. I did not smell or hear anything out of the ordinary (except for the flapping belt).
_____________

Since then everything was seemingly fixed and the dealer said I was lucky. I have been trying to do damage control since.

I have noticed that my steering feels kind of funny. The car seems out of alignment and will hardly stay straight on the road. I am wondering if I messed up the alignment or something while turning without the power assist.

What do you guys think?
