Radio Displays "NO CD CHANGER" - help

Suddenly my radio displays "NO CD PLAYER" on the display.
I have checked the fiber and it seems to be vonnected to the CD player.
The power works as i am able to eject the magazine.
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it.

It's annoying as hell. For some reason, the setting which tells the head unit
that there is a changer connected vanishes. So your option is to go to the
dealer and have them 'reset' the coding. I didn't want to pay (though you
may get lucky and they offer to do this free-of-charge), so I just gave my
changer to my brother in law. Fast forward 6 mos. I pull a changer from
my brother's E320 and tried it in mine. Message disappeares and I'm back in
action. So now am getting a changer again.

I wasn't w/o CD tunes during this time. I had also picked up single slot
head unit, Audio 10 so was feeding it direct while driving....w/o having
to go into the boot.

What caused the msg to appear....then disappear, I'll never know.
