Air bag response...
Scenario; traveling approximately 30 to 35 mph (driver seat belted, passenger not) collision point at passenger side front fender favoring bumper. Should the air bags have activated for both driver and passenger?
Can airbags, for whatever reason, be deactivated and not respond?
Coincidence or is it relative that seat belt warning signals (both instrument panel light and chime for driver & passenger) do not signal upon starting and operating vehicle? If so, would I be correct in thinking the deactivation origin (time, mileage, etc.) is stored within the vehicle computer memory - a.k.a black box?
