E320 Window Regulator Repair

Requesting HINTS & TIPS for replacement of L/F Window Regulator unit. W210 1997 E320.............

Understand that the MOTOR assembly will be switched to the NEW REG unit (6 Rivet Drill Out & Replacement required).

Noticed that there are some TORX screws securing the Motor assembly to the door frame but, these appear to have recesses in the head similiar to PHILIPS type screws and wondered if these are NOT TORX at all & what size specifically!!??

Can anyone assist with this inquiry?

Easy job, as simple as you make it sound. The motor screws are in fact Torx, t-30 or t-40 I forget each one. I just grab the right tool and go, don't even look to see what it is. Just don't let the window drop and break, doubt it'll happen but who knows.

Thanks For The Reply

You're right "T30"!! Good suggestion but, I already have/had the glass propped up until disconnected. Job was actually a piece of cake!!

While I've got your ear, what do you know about Sunroof repair on the E320's......?????????
