standalone controller on an M113 engine?
Has anyone went "standalone" on their M113 engine? Like Motec or other ECM system? Wondering if you have any pearls of wisdom you can share.
I have an extra M113 engine (4.3L AMG), and if it'll fit in my Jeep's engine bay, I'm thinking of dropping it in (ya, saying it is easy ...doing it, that's another story -- but having a "Powered by AMG" on the back of the Jeep is too attractive not to considedr)
The other thing is, I also want to go manual trani in my C43/55, and am not sure if the current ECM system works properly w/o a signal from the auto tranni or its control unit ; so might have to go standalone there too.
thanx for your thoughts,
-steve
