new to forum have a few questions
hello everyone i am new to the forum and have a few questions.
i am presses of buying a 1989 560 sec with 72,800 miles for $6500-7000
i took it to a mechanic yesterday to get it check out and he said these where the problems with it.
#1 driver power seat doesn't go down $160-185
#2 left rear window won't go down to end $350
#3 front break pads $160
#4 the trans has a leak $650
#5 left cylinder head gasket replace $1000-$1200
he said it could just need to be torqued $200-$300
#6 steering tie rods and alignment$225
so my questions to you guys are
is this car worth to buy ?
do these prices seem reasonable ?
what are the maintenance on these cars other than just oil changes ?
how much does the maintenance usually cost ?
my mechanic said it would probably cost me around $1000 a year to keep this car in good shape.
i am looking forward to all of your answers and enjoying this new Mercedes forum. thank you all in advance
