Installing Nardi Steering Wheel on 88 SEL

I think I should have posted this here

Are there any technical problems with removing the driver side airbag equipped steering wheel from a 88 300SEL and replacing with a Nardi wheel using Nardi's adaptor?

Does the hub adaptor care if the car had SRS or not (Nardi page is not clear)? Are there sensors that need removed afterwards?

I know a mechanic cannot do this due to laws so that is not an issue.

I wear my seat belt 100% so my personal safety is not an issue and an 18 YO air bag may or may not be 100% reliable anyway. Some have been known not to go off from reads in this and other fora.

apparently I have a posting stuttering problem. Let's ignore the other one or the mods can just kill it.
