No Reverse Cold 84 300d
I can't believe noone has seen this problem. Will not shift into reverse after a short run when cold.. works fine after warm up of the transmission. after it sets for a while it will go to reverse and park. Not a linkage problem.

My Dodge Ram Pickup truck does that too. But then again, it has 260,000 miles on the transmission.
I believe that once things get finicky like that, you are a wing and a prayer from needing a new transmission.
