HELP! Need to order 2 factory parts from Mercedes...anyone work for a dealership??
Hello everyone,
So, here's my problem:
I replaced the factory leather non-power, non-heated front seats from my 02 C230 Coupe with Recaro aftermarket sport seats.
The passenger side seat has some type of weight sensor matt built into it. I had to disconnect the cable for this sensor in order to remove the seat. This created an SRS error. The connector is still wired through my car though, since I only had to unhook the half that was connected to the seat...so if I were able to replace the sensor that connects to the car I should be ok.
I originally hired Steve, MBenzNL, to use his star diag. system to turn the SRS error off. He thought that it would work but he was unable to do so. He said that I need to order 2 parts and hook them up to the car (I'm not sure how, but I know I need the parts, so I need to start from there).
The first part is a "weight sensing matt leather" with a US part number of : 203 910 78 06
If this part is not available, there are 3 other types of weight sensing matts that Steve said would work just as good:
1.) weight sensing matt leather US, memory pass seat: 203 910 80 06
2.) weight sensing matt leather US,memory pass seat with heating: 203 910 84 06
3.) weight sensing matt leather US with heating: 203 910 82 06
So, out of the 4 types I listed above, I need one of them.
The second part Steve says I need is "child seat recognition", which the part number for it is 203 821 62 51
Is there anyone out there that can order me these parts, preferably with some kind of employee discount? I contacted my local MB dealership and they were very unhelpful.
Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
