Air duct under seat removal difficulties. help!

I need to remove the rear carpet flooring in my w203 c-class mercedes. However in order to do so, I need to previously remove the air ducts under the seats. I tried a few times but they don't seem to move at all out of their position. How can I do this? kind regards

That looks like a big job. Don't you have to also take out both front seats, the center console, the rear seat and the side trim?

I haven't done this in my w203, but in my w202 the rear duct just slips inside another sleeve which located under the front carpet floor. After you remove the front carpet floor there is a small screw in the plastic that holds them from separating. Remove the screw and wiggle out the rear floor duct. Reverse procedure for assembly.

HTH.

I think your description is closer to the task at hand.

On mine there was a ridge on the plastic that sort of locks it locks in place when they are pushed together. I had to yank the sucker out. Took more force than I thought it would. It is probably the same way for the w203.

problem sorted I had to squeeze the ducts really hard (up to the limits!) in order to come out!
