I have a W209 CLK500. Anyone know how to remove the front calipers and rotors...can someone please give me a step by step?

Thanks

I'm not sure if this will be detail enough... but here goes. Fixed type calipers will have two mounting bolts on the inside of the caliper.

Remove bolts by slightly losing one and then the other, then remove both.
Pull back the caliper and hang it using something like string that won't mark the caliper. Don't stress the brake line or fittings.
I believe there is a philips set screw for the rotor, remove.
Slide off disc.
Clean mating surfaces, install new (cleaned if necessary) rotor.
Set philips screw.
Install caliper.
Install bolts - torque, but tighten both in stages, don't fully tighten one before the other.
Install wheel - torgue. (again in stages).

Thanks. I did the replacement the other day pretty much just like you indicated. Caliper bolts on a 500 should be torqued to 60 ft lbs. and rotor set screw is a 30mm torx type, passenger front caliper also has brake sensor which can either be removed by small 8 mm torx bolt or just unclipping the wire leading to it from the little clip by the strut, this gives you enough play in the wire to move the caliper off to the side; an upside down coffee can works great to rest the caliper on.
