Unhappy Bushings maybe or more?

I do have this "clunking" noise coming from the front-end of the car, not turning or anything, just "clunks" even I go over uneven pavement. I'm not sure what it is but I am kinda worry something big may happen. How can I inspect those "bushings" ? is there a way to tell without having to take the car apart? can a simple guy change those bushings? BTW, I drive a C230K '02

It's becoming very noticeable lately , well... another thing is a constant hardly audible but that you can feel in your feet under the passanger seat. something that is rotating, constant "thump"... kinda weird and I hope is bushings-related , any ideas? pretty plz?

Sounds like bottom ball joints, If u have access to a ramp get it on one and push up on the front wheels in turn and you should see the ball joint move upwards if its worn. If you have a trolley jack and a prybar you can use the same method also. lift the wheel slightly off the ground and just pry it up slowly. Have you also checked the springs and anti roll bar links and bushes?

Most likely thrust arm bushings are causing the noise. Look at the silver color front suspension links where they bolt to the subframe. If there is a brown residue, or they have large cracks in them, then they are bad. They need to be pressed out, so most likely you won't be doing it yourself.

Are the thrust arm bushings also the cause of the constant "rotary" knocking coming from under the passenger side? I felt it on my feet... not really a good sensation, especially that I think is going to be $$$

when you say constant rotary sound knocking noise, does this happen only when the car is rolling? does the sound start off slow and increase as you speed up?

few things i would check right off the bat is to jack up the front and try spining the tires and see for any warpage, clicks, or a roaring sound, since yoru car is an 02, i highly doubt that it could be your wheel bearings, but try jacking up your car and see what you find.

well, that knocking under the passenger side is only when the car is moving and increases to a point that is not noticeable but when breaking (or decreasing speed) the knocking decreases accordingly...

Thrust arm bushings, they are not too hard, but you need a press...
as mentioned before look at the bushing and you will see cracks and brown liquid.
