2001 MB E-320 With a Hole in Engine
MB dealer says I have a hole in my engine. I had serviced the car a month back and no engine problems were reported.
Now the dealer says its not possible for them to know all the problems and blames over heating due to loss of cooling or no oil.

Pretty interesting that you conveniently believe the only reason there is no oil or antifreeze in the engine is because it blew out the hole. Especially since you also note you've had reoccurring oil leak problems.
Frankly, once that hole appeared the engine didn't run long enough to pump it all out in all liklihood. Perhaps the inadequate amount that was left, but probably not the full fill amount.
Lack of either in the first place could have caused the catastrophe and you clearly have no clue.
There is a temperature gauge.
A check engine light.
Plus you expect free towing on an out-of-warranty car?
You might want to list your car's mileage.

You are correct there must be more to the story as I stated in the W210 forum where he has also posted. I do not know what he is trying to prove, perhaps he should rent some bill board space.

"I am not a car expert, but I feel confident saying that a 5 year old Mercedes with 100K miles (mostly highway miles), should not blow a hole in the engine."
It would be great if he would post some of the invoices for work and maintenance that has been done.
Unfortunately, I've seen too many vehicles that were continued to be driven with plenty of warnings clearly displayed on the dash, and the driver chose to ignore them... of course, when the motor finally lets go, it's the manufacturer's fault.
