Panoramic Moonroof Popping noise

Panoramic Moonroof Popping noise
OK.. this just started happening yesterday. My moonroof opens up just fine, but when I go to close it.. it closes about halfway, then it starts making a popping noise (i.e. pop, pop, pop, pop) until fully closed.. I WD40'd the tracks but it's still doing it.. any insight as to what's going on? Thanks in advance..

your roof unit itself may need to be replaced. worked at the dealer for a while, never seen one of them repaired, the only solution was total replacement of the panoramic roof assembly......got a warranty? I sure hope so...
