AC problem
My 1985 300 turbo diesel's ac was working perfectly until I changed the driver's side motor mount. I jacked up the motor as perscribed in the manual. It all went surprisingly well.
When I was finished, I noticed that a couple of the vacuum lines got disconnected from the 'harness' on top of the left front fender well, while I was sticking my hand through to position the motor mount. They weren't marked, so I stuck them back to where they looked like they came from. Do they have anything to do with the ac? I checked all the fuses, all good. Changed the ac fuse just for gp. Still, the compressor does not kick on. All other climate controls work. Fan , heat, temp dial. I think I looked at every wire connected to the motor, just in case I inadvertently snapped one when I jacked it up. Also, I pressed the pin in the low pressure hose and it was pressurized, from what I could tell. It looks like there's a bubble in the window on top of the 'can' too.
What did I miss? Is there hope to be able to fix this myself?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

If you jump the low pressure switch on the dryer (thats the big one with 2 spade connectors on it) and the compressor runs, then the system is low- have to get it checked for a leak. If still not- I would guess the connection at the compressor clutch (notarious sp?) or a bad compressor - its a GM R4 and they were shaky quality at best.

Many thanks
I was looking at the list of ac parts with photos attached. Thinking I may have to locate and mess with all of them right off. You have given me somewhere accessable to start. I'll be checking it out this weekend.
