C240 RPM's
Took delivery of a CPO 2005 C240 Wagon last week. When crusing at 70MPH with the transmission in 'D', the engine is turning 3,000 RPM. Sounds kind of high to me. Can anyone confirm if this is normal?

I think the transmission gear ratio and the rear end gear ratio along with tire circumference determine the speed of the car at a given engine RPM, not the horse power, nor the displacement. While we are on the subject of displacement, A NAFTA 2005 C240 has a 2.6l/159 cu. in. engine.
The value of 3000 rpm at 70 mph is correct, and is similar to a range of German cars like VW, Porsche, Audi, and Ford.

However, if you don't have the horsepower, you need the gears that make the engine spin fast.
