Very SLOW car, after brake change?!

After i changed the brake on my c230k sportscoupe, it worked fine, for like 5 days.....

Now it is very very slow, it wont go fast at all, it shift gears as normal, but my "speedlimit device" where i can set it at a max speed does NOT work, and i get a fault. I went to mercedes today they spend 4 hours on it but couldt find anything....

A freind told me perhaps its the speed sensor that have been damage when the brakes got changed? Can this be ?

Or do you guys have any ideas what this is? Its like 0-60 in 30 sek, is veeeeeeery slow.

Thanks!

dealer couldn't find a problem? ... find another dealer/technician.

hmmmm ... you may have a non-brake related problem ... just happened after your brake job

without any traffic (like in an empty parking lot) ... you could try getting the car up to speed & get off the gas (possibly drop it into Neutral) ... see if the car "slows" down quickly on its own, rather than rolling freely.

What's a "speed limiting device"? (cruise control?)

I've heard of dragging brakes on large vehicles (like buses & trucks, but these are usually drum brakes) ... not sure on MB's but sometimes the parking brake can get inproperly re-installed & drag ... I can't believe a dragging brake can make your car that slow?

good luck!

Tried....

I just tried what you said, the car acts normal it doesnt brake down...

A speed limit device is standard in all MB in Europe. Its called "LIM" in MB, its a device where you can put a max speed on the car, lets say like 50mph if you know there is like police there are whatever.....

But still got the problem
