we had a severe rain storm here in Washington d.c. metro and I've noticed my passenger side carpenting (both front and rear) was soaked with rain. I managed to clean out the debris off of drain hole located under the front winshield. It seems waters not leaking into the car but my SRS light stays on now. Do you guys think maybe my sensors and wires are wet and thats whats causing it? should I wait till my carpets are fully dried and maybe that will do the magic? I did a search but nothing. Please help. Thanks.

Most likely the carpet has nothing to do with it. Its likely that water got into a connector and caused a short. I would not wait as its also likely that the contacts will corrode and cause a bad connection. I would have a dealer check it out and take the appropriate action to correct it. Airbags may not deploy or, worst case may deploy when they are not needed.
is air bag connector, sensors located behind the metal plate on the passenger side footwell?

I have no idea exactly where they are, in fact I believe there are several. Remember, whenever working on any airbag system disconnect the battery!!
Update
I checked under the passenger seat and noticed connecting wires were wet. I unplugged wires from connectors then dried em' out with compressed air then re connected them back in and what do you know? SRS lights are out!!!!! I've also taken out carpets just to dry em' out completly. I hope the lights will stay out.
