2003 clk55 amg
true mileage
Hi all, is there a way of finding out the true mileage on a clk55 within the cars electronics. I ask because I suspect mine may have been. I have been told by MB technicians that it is possible to clock/reset the mileage on these cars quite easily.

No it aint easy unless you have a star diagnostic machine in which case then yes it is. Milage is stored in the Electronic Ignition Switch and the instrument cluster so if you were wanting to clock it you would need a new EIS (and coding key), IC and star diagnostic machine. doubt it has been clocked unless done by a dealership. what makes you so suspicious?
