Guys, this knocking noise from the nearside front is driving me nuts. So far MB have replaced the shock absorber and some bushes, and it is still just as bad. Took it to a different independant dealer who said it sounds like shock 'afterbound' (this is with the new shock) checked it out for about 4 hours and gave up saying that MB do not pay them for diagnostic work under a used warranty. How are they meant to find the problem with this ludicrous situation. Anyone have any ideas or had same problem fixed. only happens when hitting bumps or dips not when turning wheels and really spoiling my MB ownership as where I live the roads are not exactly smooth.
